Coaching is a very important tool to improve not only occupational safety, but also process safety, (human) reliability and many others industrial activities.

About observation skills: one important skill to improve is to know about body language, mainly about emotions. This is as important as to be an expert in using a good check list.

To know about Human dynamics is in fact, the key skill, in my point of view, to carry on a successful observation program.
